Cafeteria Clerk

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in preparations and service of various foods, in assigned work station, including pantry items, salads, soups, and with pre-preparation of ingredients for entrees.
• Assist in preparation of basic dessert items as well as breakfast items.
• Stock and refill salad bar, and maintain cleanliness of the salad bar.
• Remove all food from the serving lines at the end of a meal period.
• Wash dishes and pots.
• Operate dish washing equipment.
• Distribute and store clean pots, dishes and utensils.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Empty trash containers as needed and required.
• Maintain assigned work station in a safe and sanitary condition.
• Handle food in a manner that is consistent with local health department guidelines.
• Moderate physical efforts such as standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling, pushing and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Food preparation and/or cafeteria experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to follow both oral and written instructions.
• Ability to lift/move boxes and to assist with lifting/moving kitchen equipment.
• Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
• Ability to work overtime.

Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
